Daily list
It was a good weekend. This is the right season to have unseasonable weather. But now classes have started again, TC is hopping, and deadlines are here.

Andrea and I started out the weekend by going to Central Park and then the Pixar exhibit at the MoMa (recommended; highly recommended if you can get out of paying the huge entrance fee). I wanted to take advantage of the weather to get some shots with The Big Giant Lens of Doom, so she posed for me for a bit. The problem was that Central Park, while warm, was a rather universal brown. She decided to find her own prop, but it didn't work out so well … so she got progressively sillier, and the results made me smile:

We did exactly that yesterday, thanks to my awesome NYC museum-employed girlfriend.

Shite, we should have done it together. You'd be triply covered by people with free MoMa access.

what is it about your camera that is able to make the background completely blurred in this shot :

Is it the lens?

Yeah, that was taken at pretty close to 200mm and at a fairly wide aperture, so good-bye background.

I see... I've been into photography for a few years but it frustrates me when I don't have the technique down. You impress me so so much, just wanted to let you know :)
